Throw Out the Mental Clutter dfgdfgfd fdgfg

Imagine that a month ago, you came across the word “Screver.” You looked it up in the dictionary, learned its meaning, and stored it in your memory. But today, when you try to recall it, the word just won’t come back. Why does this happen?

One reason could be that your mind is blocked. Negative emotions often act like roadblocks on the highway of your thoughts. The Bhagavad Gita explains it beautifully:

“From anger comes delusion; from delusion comes confusion of memory…”

It’s not only anger that affects us. Many other emotions, such as fear, sadness, envy, grief, hatred, restlessness, or anxiety, can cloud the mind. When this happens, even your senses stop working at their best. You may:

  • Walk past a friend, look at him, but don't really see him.

  • Hear someone talking to you, but later you don't remember a word.

  • Touch something dangerous, like a snake in the grass, but not feel it.

  • Eat a delicious meal, but do not truly taste it or even remember what you ate.

  • Smell leaking gas, but fail to notice it sometimes with serious results.

To overcome this, you need to remove negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones. The great teacher Paramahansa Yogananda gave us a powerful reminder to repeat every day:

“I am a prince of peace, sitting on the throne of calmness, directing my kingdom of activity.”

Say this to yourself whenever you feel stressed or upset. With practice, it will become a natural part of your thinking, helping you stay calm and balanced.

Once you train your mind this way, you won’t fall apart before an exam, a job interview, or any stressful situation. Instead, your inner balance will calm you down. All you’ll need to do is take a deep breath and say with confidence:

“It will all come back to me in a minute.”

And it will.
